Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data Academia Superiora processes, what it deliberately does not collect, and how long we keep it. In short: we analyze public institution-level data, not student records.
Overview
Academia Superiora is a strategic-intelligence platform for higher education. It is not a student information system. The analytics it produces are computed from public, institution-level federal datasets, and the only personal data we hold is a small amount of account information about the professional users who log in.
Data We Process
Public datasets. The platform analyzes public institutional data sourced from IPEDS and the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard. These are already aggregate, de-identified statistics.
Account data. To operate the product we store your work email address, a securely hashed password, your institution affiliation, roles/entitlements, and workspace preferences such as saved peer groups and dashboard settings.
Operational and usage records. We keep authentication session metadata (user-agent, IP address, timestamps), a security audit log of sensitive actions, and product-usage telemetry that helps us understand which features are used.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not ingest, store, or display student-level education records — no grades, transcripts, enrollment histories, financial-aid records, or directory information. Because we do not process student education records, the obligations of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) on such records do not attach to the data the platform analyzes. We do not sell personal data and do not use advertising trackers.
How Data Is Used
We use account and usage data to authenticate you, deliver benchmarking and program analysis, save your preferences, secure the platform, provide support, and improve the product. AI features send your prompt and the relevant public dataset context to a third-party language-model provider to generate cited insights; those providers act as subprocessors and are not permitted to train foundation models on your prompts.
How Data Is Stored and Secured
Public dataset content, benchmark calculations, and account configuration are stored in managed application databases and supporting infrastructure. Passwords are hashed, access tokens are stored as hashes, and administrative access is limited to authorized operators. Security-relevant actions are recorded in an audit log.
Data Retention
Product-usage telemetry is retained on a rolling 90-day window. Operational and security records — such as the audit log and longer-lived usage aggregates — are retained for up to two years for security investigation and account history, then purged or aggregated. Account identity is kept for the life of the account and deleted or anonymized on verified closure, subject to audit-log immutability requirements. Public federal datasets are retained as reference data and refreshed from source.
Your Choices and Rights
You can view and revoke active sessions and review your account activity from Settings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us; some records required for security and audit integrity may be retained as described above.
Changes and Contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above. Questions about privacy, or requests from institutional legal and security teams, can be directed to the Academia Superiora team through your account contact or the contact page.
