These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Academia Superiora platform. Please read them carefully; by using the service you agree to them.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between Academia Superiora (“we,” “us”) and the organization and individuals who access the platform (“you”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an institution, you represent that you are authorized to bind that institution.
The Service
Academia Superiora is a higher-education strategic-intelligence platform. It computes benchmarking, program analysis, financial-health indicators, and AI-assisted insights from public federal datasets (IPEDS and the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard) together with the workspace configuration you provide.
Features, data coverage, and availability may change as the platform is improved. We may add, modify, or discontinue functionality, and we will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
Accounts and Institutional Licensing
Access is licensed to the institution rather than sold per seat. Administrators may invite colleagues, manage roles, and revoke access. You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials, for activity that occurs under your accounts, and for promptly notifying us of any unauthorized use.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
(a) upload student-level education records or other personally identifiable student data into the platform; (b) attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use; (c) reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service; or (d) use the platform to violate applicable law or the rights of others. The platform is designed for institution-level analytics and provides no supported channel for student records.
AI-Assisted Insights
The Athena assistant and other AI features generate narrative insights with figures cited to their underlying public sources. These outputs are decision support, not professional, legal, financial, or accreditation advice. You are responsible for verifying figures against the cited source before relying on them for institutional decisions.
Intellectual Property
The platform, its software, and its original content are owned by Academia Superiora and its licensors. The public federal datasets remain in the public domain. Configuration, saved views, and other materials you create remain yours; you grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate the service on your behalf.
Privacy
Our handling of account and usage data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Academia Superiora is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the security of the platform. On termination, your right to use the service ends; certain records (such as immutable security audit logs) may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and Contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated to account administrators. Questions about these Terms can be directed to the Academia Superiora team through your account contact or the contact page.
